Nordic Walking is a technique, just like normal walking, however it incorporates a specific set of poles and technique to activate the upper body and provide a very beneficial type of exercise.  As it is often difficult or uncomfortable for some people with various musculoskeletal conditions to participate in exercise, it is important to find exercises that can be done without pain. With Nordic Walking, people can work at their own pace, within pain limits and abilities, and therefore this makes Nordic Walking an attractive form of exercise.

Our course allows participants to master the basic Nordic Walking technique. With plenty of time over six weeks to practise under the supervision of Arthritis and Osteoporosis Victoria’s trainers, you will feel confident in your ability to participate in Nordic Walking safely and effectively.
